Today, Slitherine and Skydance Media announced the development of Terminator: Dark Fate - Defiance, a new real-time strategy game set within the reinvented franchise. The game follows the war between humanity and Legion's synthetic intelligent machine network. In the single-player campaign, players take the role of a commander in the Founders faction and guide their army to foil Legion's plan to destroy humanity. In skirmish and multiplayer modes, three very diverse factions are available: Founders, Legion and Resistance. The game is set to be released on PC in 2022.

This looks like garbage. Just give me a proper Terminator FPS game for fucks sake. No one has done a proper one of those since the 90s, and even that first one was janky as fuck.

The second sentence in the Bluesnews article:Slitherine announces Terminator: Dark Fate - Defiance, a real-time strategy game based on the most recent installment in the unkillable Terminator franchise. This is in development at Cats Who Play, and the game's Steam Listing says it's "coming soon."
I found it by going to the Steam page for the Terminator game and clicking the link for the developer to see what else they've done because the two videos here don't really show much game-play.

The developer's other RTS is Syrian War. From what I've heard, basically a propaganda piece glorifying the Russian side. Some of their goals aren't bad but things like chemical weapons attacks and the incredibly bloody and deadly suppression of protesters, attacking US troops etc. are disconcerting.
Given the risk-aversion of most gaming companies these days, that's an interesting choice of developers. The war there is a complicated mess with atrocities on many of the various (and shifting) sides.
Modern military shooters tend to bug me a little in general anyway. I'm ok with Counterstrike but that's about it.
From a purely game oriented view, their other RTS doesn't look too bad.
I'm interested in the Terminator RTS but not sure what to make of their choice of developer.
