The Elder Scrolls - Skyrim 10th Anniversary Edition is now available, reminding us of the memorable 11/11/11 release date for the original launch of the RPG. This is available as a standalone purchase, or as DLC for the Skyrim Special Edition. The Anniversary Edition includes all sorts of extras, including (wait for it) horse armor. Here's the overview:

It will break a lot of the nearly decade worth of mods that have been released on PC - said mods at this point likely not to get patched for this version as the modders have moved on or whatever. A lot of the mods require the use of other mods to work - etc.

I thought the Special Edition was ridiculous at the time (it worked out in the end); but this is awful.

Yeah, they should have remastered Morrowind.

The Special Edition of Skyrim brought 64bit support, and real support at that, which was a major factor for it (You can't run Enderal on the 32bit Skyrim without constant crashing for example) so that was actually the ONLY actually warranted re-release of the game.

I am more shocked they didn't remake Fallout 3 or Morrowind. You'd think it'd be an obvious target for easy monies.
