The Elder Scrolls - Skyrim 10th Anniversary Edition is now available,
reminding us of the memorable 11/11/11 release date for the original launch of
the RPG. This is available as a standalone purchase, or as DLC for the Skyrim
Special Edition. The Anniversary Edition includes all sorts of extras, including
(wait for it)
horse armor. Here's the overview:

So what exactly does this do besides add some more content and they can sell it on the latest gen consoles?
It will break a lot of the nearly decade worth of mods that have been released on PC - said mods at this point likely not to get patched for this version as the modders have moved on or whatever. A lot of the mods require the use of other mods to work - etc.
I thought the Special Edition was ridiculous at the time (it worked out in the end); but this is awful.
Yeah, they should have remastered Morrowind.
The original release from 10 years ago still exists as its own separate entity... But mods made in the past 5 years for the Special Edition are affected by this update, yes.
