This is why all employees need to unionize. You're permanently at a disadvantage against your employer unless you have either a personal team of lawyers, or collective bargaining. Without it all you can really do is stamp your feet, walk out, get fired, and find new work.
The only reason to bring up unions in this context would be if the majority of workers agreed with the trans walkout position, which they do not....
