I just updated the driver - I rolled back to a much earlier one as the last time I upgraded it had a lot of problems - and things seem to be working okay again. I will check out AIDA64 however. Cheers

So any thoughts for monitor and GPU testing software?
1. AIDA64 Extreme (designed for testing AMD GPUs and CPUs).
2. FurMark (choose the standing OpenGL test; anything else might lead to a brick).
3. Unigine (can stress-test the GPU stability against a graphically intensive environment for an extended time. Heaven and Valley are good demos for that).
4. 3DMark.
All the above should also test your display while testing the GPU.

All good. Check out the resource monitor to see what's causing the GPU to spike. Also, check out the Event Viewer to see if there's anything that might shed light.
Are you overclocking your GPU? If so, you may want to disable that for now.

Reinstalled FF and still the same problems, so I started usinjg edge and still the same issue with getting lots of hangs and the AMD tool asking me if I want to report it. Maybe my card is heading south. Anyone got a rec for good free software to test GPU stability? Ugh, that's going to suck if I have to buy a new card now.

Hey KX, how do you uninstall your ad assainate script? A) It doesn't work anymore B) It's causing all kinds of hangs in Firefox now.
Just realize that I never designed it, nor have I ever tested it, for Firefox. That said, you should have the ability to remove or deactivate the script in whatever user script manager you are using on Firefox.
By "it doesn't work anymore" and "it's causing all kinds of hangs in Firefox now," are you referring to just the websites you visit that the script is designed for? Have you tried disabling other extensions to see if the script functions without issue? Have you tried running the script in Firefox's private mode? Try eliminating those as potential known issues.

Xero wrote on Sep 30, 2021, 12:31:I think it was the writing and character dialog that let down the sequels to the Matrix. After the curtain was pulled back, I thought 2 and 3 did a decent job rebuilding the viewer's intrigue and creating story arcs... but any charm or personality of the characters (or between the characters) was lost, it all became rigid. The dialog was burdened with whimsical one-liners of prophecy that was tiring to listen to; the philosophy did not gain the layers to match that of the plot . Hugo Weaving's performances saved the trilogy, perhaps ironic that his acting as an out of control AI program had more convincing emotion behind it than the humans acting as humans.
I'd expect that this will follow a new story but still, I hope they don't try to borrow from the first because it could end up weakening an amazing film, much like Matrix 2 and 3 did to the first. The first was legendary status until the sequels came out...
