The Lord of Destruction Returns
Diablo II: Resurrected includes all content from both Diablo II and its epic expansion Diablo II: Lord of Destruction®. Battle your way through icy caverns, horrific tombs filled with undead abominations, and frozen wastelands to the frigid summit of Mount Arreat and stop Baal, the Lord of Destruction. Raise hell with two Lord of Destruction playable classes—the cunning Assassin, master of traps and shadow disciplines, and the savage Druid, a bold shapeshifter and summoner who commands primal elemental magic.

“my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”

I started up my D2 Median XL install and it works fine Har har har
According the Median XL mod creator, D2R there will be a single player mod coming some time in 2021 inspired by Median "but better" so that's an interesting bit to look forward to.

Nice word, pedantic. I was vaguely familiar with it and got the gist from the context but had to look it up for the specific definition. I guess you are smarter than me, you win.

Anyone that's played the game knows what the feature is and what it does, and what I meant. You're just being hopelessly pedantic because, I guess you wanna sound smarter than everyone else.Razumen wrote on Sep 24, 2021, 15:12:Yes, your terminology usage is confusing to anyone who is knowledgeable in network protocols. And yes, it was called that and TCP/IP is a common term. However, you are using it incorrectly. Battle.net is using TCP/IP, in the modern world everything uses TCP/IP. Now, in the old days you might use something like NetBEUI (an IBM/Mircosoft network protocol) but in the last 20 years, it was all TCP/IP. Don't feel bad though, 99% of the population has no idea about this stuff, just nerds like me who ended up working in IT.
It's not confusing, it was always called TCP/IP, and is a commonly used term. And there is multiplayer without it, because Battle.net is not the same thing, it is distinct in both name and function.

I'm having a ball, played online with a friend for hours yesterday until the server issues started up. There are a few quirks, but they are largely due to the fact that this remaster is literally built on top of' the original game. Most have been mentioned, such as the wonky targeting. I might switch to using my PS4 controller, as I understand it's smoother with a controller, and I'd rather not worry about destroying my mouse, as logitech doesn't make this model anymore and it's my absolute favorite mouse ever lol.
Game is extremely faithful, with lots of QoL updates, some so small you barely notice them until a memory kicks in and makes you realize it's changed; such as the 5 & 6 numbers in the font being much easier to distinguish lol. The lighting is amazing, and they did an amazing job capturing the desaturated gothic graphics. I had a fun time switching between original and new graphics all the time, just to see how dramatically better the graphics are. Also just because it's amazing how much my memories smoothed those graphics out in my memory.

I mean TCP/IP, it's not for offline but for P2P connections. Blizzard wants to force everyone to use Battle.net.

Doubt I'll pick this up until someone figures out how to get TCP/IP back after Blizzard took it out after saying everything from the old game would be there.
