Fergusson tweets that 11:00 am EDT is the exact time on September 23rd to
expect the launch of Diablo II: Resurrected (thanks
PureDiablo). That date was previously
set, but now we have a time as well. Here's word on how Blizzard is
celebrating the first day of (northern) autumn:
We're launching at 8 AM PDT on the 23rd.

No UWQHD support... In 2021. Sad. Really, really sad. This D2 remaster looked so great but during the beta they said things that made it look more and more like Warcraft 3: Refncked. Stating "We want to stay to true the original vision" makes no sense when it comes to e.g. UWQHD support. Then it is actually "We don't care and don't want to 'waste' money on the remaster."
Blue had the explanation in a story about this a couple days ago -- more screen space in Diablo is a direct gameplay advantage, and in extremes even caused issues with enemy AI.
