Yeah, I can't wait to see Dune, at my house, on release day. The Marvel movies seem to be hitting Disney+ about 3-4 months after theatrical release, which is a bit of overkill (included streaming, not an extra $29.99) in my opinion. I don't think I'm ever going to a movie theater again.

Boeing 777s grounded - with a particular engine type. Figures. Apparently most engineers/mechanics/assembly workers are shitty at their jobs also. Is this a human condition?

Lake Mead - record lows. Yeah, it's not coming back either. They've been drawing more water out than goes in for decades. It's almost like it can't support farming in the fucking desert states. I feel terrible for all the people who are going to be basically fucked out there; this is going to be the start of mass migration/American refugees, within our own country.

Alien Quantum Computers - Yeah sure, why not. Yet another astrophysics hypothesis tied in to Dark Matter, which is itself just a kluge fix to explain what humanity doesn't know. I really, really hope I live long enough for them to find out that it's just extra black holes, free roaming planets, etc. making up the mass difference in the universe, not some borderline magic other state of matter. Not as a gotcha, but just... for the Occam's Razor satisfaction of it.
