ESO was impressive. It reminded me of classic WoW. Both were addicting. No time to play and don't want to pay their subscriptions when I don't play much!

Everyone has different tastes. I'm not assuming your tastes match the average reviewer mindset. But I'm also not assuming it's a turd either.

As for the other thing, yes, there's a large chunk of players who don't play much of a game. I'm one of them, I have too many games and it's rare I will play one a lot even if it's awesome. And we know this is widespread, because of achievements. Like there's achievements in some games for beating tutorial and the percentage rate might only be 70% of game owners have that achievement.

Pathfinder 2 pre-loads are available on Steam and Gog; I got my key notification from Owlcatgames in an email, got my key off of their website, and put it into my GoG account. Now just need to pass the time until the 2nd.

I only played Beta when it released, and only till the siege in act 2 (defeated the enemy there and quit out, so as to not spoiler myself) - and yes, to me this game is a clear and really big evolution over Kingmaker. I am not gonna spoiler you so no worries, but the beginning of Act 1 is extremely fun and offers lots of roleplay potential, and even wide ranging choices (primarily who accompanies you and who does not) as well as really fun mechanics, like defending your starting outpost against a daemon attack and LOTS of options for characters with high skills to influence what happens later on. While ACT2 transfers into a "conquer the world back" mechanic with exploration and side missions that are pretty indepth and interesting. It was also pretty polished a few animation glitches aside. And again, that was many months ago And also fighting demons from DnD is way more fun than fighting plant fey things (imo)

Compared to Solasta and BG3 it's very different too, to me all 3 games offer something. BG3 the cinematic DnD, Pathfinder the raw insanity of Pathfinder I (based on 3.5e) and Solasta the tactical combat depth with vertical elements.

My brother and I have been playing it, and we're having a ton of fun. Sure, it's not too deep and doesn't have a compelling story or anything, but as long as you're enjoying your time, that's what matters, right?

Not everything needs to be groundbreaking or completely stick to the source material to be entertaining.

Aliens Fireteam is no 2. on the list? Just goes to show that you can slap the Aliens licence on any old turd, and people will lap it up and ask for more. Oh man, WH40K: DarkTide can't come soon enough so that people actually see how that type of game should actually look and play like....

(Or you can fire up Vermintide, Vermintide 2 or L4D....)

I played the free weekend for a couple hours. I enjoyed it, but geez the character customizations for levelling up was confusing! I wished I had more time to play games.

Enjoying the hell out of King's Bounty 2. Bad reviews due to idiots expecting some Dragon Age Inquisiton game because of the third person exploration mode. Awesome game. Great atmosphere. Best thing since HoMM.
