if someone wants to hack your software, at minimum they're going to have a copy of it
You really have no idea what you're talking about. Companies get hacked every day by people without access to their software. There are plenty of ways to hack systems without access to the software.Relying on obfuscation is just foolish no matter which way you look at it.Sure, which is why it's PART of a security framework. Your password showing up in plain text in a Google search is going to get you hacked much, much faster than it being stored in a hash.

Security through obfuscation is no security at all.
You're being absolutist. Obfuscation can be a valid part of a multi-layer security framework. Anything that reduces exposure will make the system more secure.

There's not a single mention of voter id or vaccine passport/id mentioned in this thread. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

Last time I checked having a vaccine passport doesn't stop the spread of viruses either.
where are you checking? your coloring book? encouraging people to get vaccinated does in fact greatly reduce the spread of the virus "last i checked"

Lack of presenting identification to vote is a bigger problem when it comes to voter fraud. Practically every other democratic nation on the planet requires ID to vote. Yet you all are fine promoting vaccination IDs instead. Hypocrites.
