Yeah just like the original colonist in Jamestown, except they cowboyed up and worked hard to survive and did not have time for crazy conspiracy theories that blamed everything on minorities.

Nazis are just histories most pathetic losers. The people of Germany gave in to their worst tendencies instead of working hard.

This game obviously was posited from the get go to bank off the inevitable crap storm of free publicity.

The Thule Society, originally the Studiengruppe für germanisches Altertum ("Study Group for Germanic Antiquity"), was a German occultist and Völkisch group founded in Munich shortly after World War I, named after a mythical northern country in Greek legend. The society is notable chiefly as the organization that sponsored the Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (DAP; German Workers' Party), which was later reorganized by Adolf Hitler into the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP or Nazi Party). According to Hitler biographer Ian Kershaw, the organization's "membership list ... reads like a Who's Who of early Nazi sympathizers and leading figures in Munich", including Rudolf Hess, Alfred Rosenberg, Hans Frank, Julius Lehmann, Gottfried Feder, Dietrich Eckart, and Karl Harrer.

People seem to believe that ardent Nazis sprung up throughout Germany overnight. When, in actuality, the cause of the rise of Nazi Germany can squarely be laid at the feet of the Allies and the Treaty of Versailles. When you bankrupt a country to the point where starvation, predation, homelessness, and unemployment go far beyond critical levels, you create a population so desperate that they'll willingly follow anyone who feeds them, keeps them safe, provides them with jobs, and provides them with a sense of self-worth. If you went back in time and killed baby Hitler, you would undoubtedly stop the rise of the Nazis and, possibly, the Holocaust or at least the targets of the Holocaust. However, what you would not stop is someone realizing that if they promise food, jobs, and security, and deliver on on those promises, that you would have an equally authoritarian government arise in the Nazis' place. You would also still have scapegoating because you need a target for all that long simmering rage and unrest to aim at so it doesn't aim at you, the new leader. You also had the Allies balls deep in appeasement strategies which would feed the ego of both whomever the leader was and the people of Germany. The US didn't help matters with their xenophobic view of "that European conflict". It wasn't until Japan kicked us in the balls while we were sleeping that the US decided to get off its ass and get involved. Sure, we had some light duty involvement with the predecessor to the Lend-Lease Act of 1941 but it was handing scraps off the table to Britain.

Did the Nazis commit terrible, awful, cruel, and inhuman atrocities? Without a doubt. There can be neither justification nor excuse for their actions. However, it was Nazi science, Nazi scientists, and Nazi engineers that put Neil Armstrong on the Moon. We, the US, were decades behind the Nazis in rocketry and guidance systems. However, we also were quick to correct the mistakes of WWI. The Allies heavily invested in West Germany to stabilize the area and begin rebuilding.

So, really to sum up and then I am going to bed, the Nazis didn't spring up overnight or out of thin air. History books and education need to stop glossing over those facts.

It's more than just the cards you were dealt; its also the decisions you make. This is a big reason why not all people who were molested as a child go on to become molesters themselves.

Operation Paperclip was a secret United States intelligence program in which more than 1,600 German scientists, engineers, and technicians were taken from former Nazi Germany to the U.S. for government employment after the end of World War II in Europe, between 1945 and 1959. Conducted by the Joint Intelligence Objectives Agency (JIOA), it was largely carried out by special agents of the U.S. Army's Counterintelligence Corps (CIC). Many of these personnel were former members, and some were former leaders, of the Nazi Party.

The building continued to be the seat of the parliament of the Weimar Republic (1919–1933), which was still called the Reichstag. The building caught fire on 27 February 1933, under circumstances still not entirely known. This gave a pretext for the Nazis to suspend most rights provided for by the 1919 Weimar Constitution in the Reichstag Fire Decree, allowing them to arrest Communists and other enemies, and increase police action throughout Germany.

Yeah... the only good Nazi is a dead Nazi. That line will never be wrong. I don't see anyway a game should make you feel in anyway like you can feel for or relate to Hitler. That dude was pure evil and what he did was basically brain wash millions into believing into his own personal hate he had towards others and utilized the power he had against them.

I'll never get enough playing games where I get to kill me some Nazis. They're like the real life Doom Imps, lol.

That got a quick "Ignored." I don't care what the man felt. What he did was beyond evil, it was inhuman. He and his regime sent thousands of my brothers and sisters to concentration camps, and murdered many.
