FIFA 22 in October

EA SPORTS announces FIFA 22, saying the next installment in the association football/soccer series will launch worldwide for PC, Stadia, and consoles on October 1st. This will introduce new "hypermotion" technology intended to create the most realistic and immersive installment ever, but this will not be coming to the PC edition. You can get a taste in the new Official Reveal Trailer. Read on to see if you think you'll get a kick out of this:
Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) today introduced EA SPORTS™ FIFA 22, featuring next-gen HyperMotion* technology that brings the football’s most realistic and immersive gameplay experience to life, in every match and across every mode on next-gen consoles and Stadia. FIFA 22 will be available worldwide on October 1 for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Origin™ and Steam, Stadia, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Powered by HyperMotion, FIFA 22 combines Advanced 11v11 Match Capture and proprietary machine learning technology to deliver the most realistic, fluid and responsive football experience for next-gen consoles and Stadia, unlocking the raw emotion, passion and physicality of the world’s game.

HyperMotion technology enabled the integration of the first-ever motion capture of 22 professional footballers playing at high intensity. Additionally, EA’s proprietary machine learning algorithm learns from more than 8.7 million frames of advanced match capture, then writes new animations in real time to create organic football movement across a variety of interactions on the pitch. Whether it’s a shot, pass or cross, HyperMotion transforms how players move on and off the ball.

“FIFA 22 offers millions of fans around the world a chance to engage with the sport they love in an unprecedented way,” said Nick Wlodyka, GM, EA SPORTS FIFA. “Each player experiences FIFA in their own way but on-pitch gameplay is the unifying constant, so we’re excited to offer deep innovation there. HyperMotion elevates that even further on next-gen consoles and Stadia and completely changes the feel of the game”.

The new game also offers deep and innovative features across other parts of gameplay and our most popular modes including Career Mode, VOLTA FOOTBALL, Pro Clubs and FIFA Ultimate Team™. Fans can expect more consistency and distinct personalities between the posts with a complete goalkeeper system rebuild, an all-new Create a Club experience in Career Mode, reimagined gameplay in VOLTA FOOTBALL, and the introduction of FIFA Ultimate Team Heroes, completely new items that represent the stories and glory of cult players and fan favorites. More news on FIFA 22 innovation will follow throughout the summer.

Paris Saint-Germain striker and global football icon Kylian Mbappé graces the cover for the second year in a row, making him one of few to earn back-to-back cover star status, alongside others like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Being on back-to-back FIFA covers is amazing,” said Kylian Mbappé. “I have a very special relationship with the game and look forward to enjoying FIFA 22 alongside all of you”.

* HyperMotion technology is only available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Stadia.

Yeah, this is business as usual. IIRC, in some years, PC even stayed on the older version of an engine while console versions got the latest flashy new tech. This is nothing new. I don't care about sports games so no loss for me, but even if I would, I think I would be playing them on consoles anyway because these games are a rare example where a controller actually is the better input device. And the social experience is certainly better as well. Sports games are pretty much meant to be played 1 vs. 1 in front of a huge TV.

So Fifa22 on PC is literally not shipping with the only new feature for this year? LMAO

Happens every year....the PC version always misses features. Most probably due to Sony and Microsoft doing shady deals with EA to boost console sales.

The PC players are getting last console generation's FIFA. The XBOX One and the PS4 version won't have HyperMotion either. For PC FIFA players this is the second year in a row that they have the inferior version. They also had the XBONE/PS4 version last year for no apparent reason. I mean, obviously, it's a conscious decision. Maybe their stats tell them that not enough PC players have the hardware for their tech? I don't know. It's weird to me.

Casino reset day for the stupid sport game gamer announcement.

PC FIFA players crying over no new feature?? You just need to spend more gambling $$ in Ultimate Team to make EA care.

This is not the first time EA pull sh!t like this. They did that to Nintendo Switch for years...

EA basically just update the team info, reset the casino for Ultimate Team and charge another yearly FULL price for it.

EA shits on their PC sports game players since forever. The last time they appreciated the PC sports base was when Madden was still only on home computers...and I think that was like 1988/89 because 88 was the launch of Madden and in 1990 it was on Genesis for it's console debut. I don't understand what is so fucking hard about releasing the same product across all platforms for EA, but it has been a company wide struggle since their inception. Some of us spent 10+ years using community mods and roster updates to play Madden 2007 on PC while EA basically forgot that PCs or Windows existed. How much money did they leave on the table is impossible to know. I guess EA thinks not much, I don't really have a way to argue that.

It isn't so much that EA is worse then everyone else. They may or may not be, it's just that they happen to publish some of my favorite long running series. FIFA and Madden among them. Which sucks.

Maybe, Luggage, recent history shows some sad decay though not the catastrophic one across the pond (decades long going to the dogs there, in democracy, living conditions, security and health, corporative and political abuse, etc).

Anyway, what an incredible unequaled fountainhead of music, literature and knowledge your country has been and continues to be.

And wait a while, and HyperMotion technology, or an analog if not a better one, will arrive to PCs.

They will get English fans to buy into it with the special edition "another 50 years to wait" version, after tonight's fiasco.

Still, there are upsides: Johnson won't be able to carp about how great we are, and the Brexit mob might take another step towards realising what a second rate country we've become whilst feasting on half-century-old nostalgia.

Confirmed now, all consoles criminally bought by parents for gullible gambling children !

Consoles are hassle free and relatively cheaper.
But for the tech "savvy", it's a matter of your system price plus all your games total price.

If the cost benefit was good I'd get a console, but the more games you get the more cheap that final price is, even with costlier PCs.
Plus fantastic mods, great old games, cheat engine, keyboard and mouse reconfigurators, K&M gamepad emulation, VR, non VR games made VR with vorpx, etc.
As for system exclusives, with patience, not that many exclusives left, with emulators perfectly running hundreds of them.

I guess PC players aren't as gullible as console players, knowing the value of money from having to buy their own systems, instead of gambling away their pocket money while pops and moms buy their consoles.
