Developer Team Salvato and publisher and co-developer Serenity Forge have
released Doki Doki Literature Club Plus for PC, Switch, PlayStation 4/5
and Xbox One. The windows version of this psychological/horror remake is sold
on Steam, and carries a 10% launch discount for the next week. This features
all the content of the original game (which is still available for free
on Steam for Windows and macOS), upgraded HD visuals, new side stories, and

I watched the game grumps episode of the original game, it was hilarious and I hope they will play this version as well. GG is good when it comes to horror-related games.

No, it is not a joke. This really is a psychological horror / thriller game. It is not what you might think.
And there are multiple locations - on the Steam store, and within the game itself - that indicate that this is neither a game intended for anyone under 18, nor for anyone who is easily disturbed (due to the aforementioned psychological horror / thriller elements).

These types of 'games' are not my cup of tea at all, and if they were I would never admit it, but I did watch a playthrough of this on GameGrumps and they made it hilarious. That's the best way to experience this thing, I think. Through the lens of comedians.
