Grand Theft Auto VI Rumors [Jun 28, 2021, 11:58 am ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
After successfully predicting some of the announcements for Battlefield 2042,
internet sleuth Tom Henderson is now taking a leak all over the Grand Theft
Auto series.
In
this video Tom discusses various rumors he's heard over the years about
Grand Theft Auto VI. Previous speculation about a new installment in the
open-world crime series suggest it will be set in the 1980s. According to Tom's
sources, however, the game may be a recreation of Vice City set in the present
day. He does admit that this is not in his wheelhouse: "Of course, I'm not known
for GTA 6 news, so take all this information with a grain of
salt."

I played through GTA1 2 and 3 fully, then basically missed the rest until GTA5. Played through (decent sale price) GTA5 fully expecting some great writing, based on the reviews and comments, and I was thoroughly underwhelmed.
GTA5 was hot garbage. Everything about it was mediocre. The big point about the character Trevor being a psycopath was dumb because it was clearly written by someone who hadn't so much as read a Wikipedia article on psychopathy.
It's staying power is in multiplayer alone and the rampant cheating that goes on in it. It's become a metagame unto itself.
