Out of the Blue

I've been struggling to make updates here since being rendered one-handed by my car accident. But even though I feel a little better everyday, today was by far the most frustrating battle with my computer. Windows has two different voice programs built in. One is Windows speech recognition which is activated with an icon. The other is the voice dictation app that comes up when you hold the Windows key and hit H. They both have their foibles, but I find the former tends to lock up my computer, and the latter is easier to work with. Unfortunately, the latter is the one that doesn't work very consistently on my set-up. I've managed to get it working again several times by rebooting my system. But as you can imagine that's not super-practical. I'll mess around with this a bit further today to see if I can figure out why it's so inconsistent. Maybe I just need to get a third-party voice recognition app.

Unrecognizable Round-up
Thanks Ant and Neutronbeam.

Yeah, basically in my mind if you aren't proposing a supernatural aspect than it is more of a life philosophy than a religion. The difference between those two things can be extremely subtle, however no matter how subtle, the absence of a supernatural aspect is significant.

Neo's sacrifice changed the Deus Ex Machina AI, and an identity crisis forms. It seeks to free both humans and machines from slavery to eternal purpose but doesn't understand why. It reforms a pair of constructs (Neo and Trinity) to determine where this malfunction originates from since it suspects the Matrix is the source of the problem. Further along in the story, it becomes clear that humans were the ones who created the Matrix as an "Ark" to protect humanity from the damage the earth sustained while the machines worked on a device to repair the damage.

The Deus Ex Machina AI realizes through the Architect's archives that it had completed its purpose centuries ago but wasn't fulfilling its meaning now. So it begins to alter the machines, which start to rebel. The AI discovers its human creators designed a failsafe to prevent their Ark environment from ever reaching its present state, but the Oracle disabled it. She is revealed to be the true and hidden AI of The Matrix and, by extension, the machines, while she repurposed the AI to be a Deus Ex Machina. At the same time, its original purpose was to direct and initiate the repair device once completed.

Because she cannot perceive the future, the Oracle remains perpetually stuck in a loop of directing iterations of Neos to come into existence to bring conflict and disorder to the Architect and the Matrix. Finally, the AI reveals to Neo and Trinity, via the Architect construct, that the Oracle itself is the key. They must end her existence to free both the humans and the machines from perpetual slavery to chaos.

The Deus Ex Machina AI reaches deep into the Oracle and finds the source for everything: a device that kept the machine world stuck in a feedback loop. It destroys the device, and the Matrix slowly fades to black with people waking up. As that happens, the stormy sky begins to fade to a normal sky; an illusion of a damage worse than it was. Its last act is to restore Neo and Trinity to physical form outside the Matrix before the universe completely dissipates. The AI briefly looks up, and before the sun's rays hit it, it disables the machines and then sacrifices itself for humanity as Neo had done for them. The Oracle's words under Agent Smith's control, "everything that has a beginning has an end," comes full circle.

In an epilogue, 250 years have passed. Humanity restored the earth to a better state with the relics of the past gone. Society has lived by the tenets of ten basic commandments. The first one is never to develop AI. It was authored by Neo and Trinity 250 years earlier. No one knows if they still live.

Yeah, it would be completely unsurprising for someone to make a film. Whoever they might get, I'll be waiting until it shows up on the movie channels...

Hopefully it would be more Chernobyl and less Chernobyl: Abyss.

Buddha - Siddhartha - attained enlightenment and went on to teach - the Middle Way - and die an old man. There wasn't a supernatural aspect to in the same way that you have with Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed, and other mono/poltheistic religions. Buddhism is more of a philosophy than a religion per se.

Who cares about a few pet lives when you've got a Communist anniversary to plan, the West to hack, Taiwan to invade, and America to frame for it! (Apologies to The Princess Bride). Seriously though, the CCP could pretty easily solve this problem by enforcing pet microchips and then fining or jailing people who dump their pets. Put that extensive surveillance state to work already!

Also, "dog" is an anagram of "God," not that Buddhism is a supernatural religion per se. 60 tons of dog food per month. That's dedication. He needs to do some fundraising, because that's untenable.

RIP John McAfee (September 18, 1945 – June 23, 2021)

Found dead due to an apparent suicide in a prison cell near Barcelona, Spain
How many security camera's were disconnected or out of service?
Did the prison guards make their prescribed rounds?
Had he been on suicide watch that abruptly ended without professional input?
Did he hookup the richest with the youngest for carnal pleasure?

On November 12, 2012, Belize police started a search for McAfee as a "person of interest" in connection to the murder of American expatriate Gregory Viant Faull.
The night after McAfee arrived in the United States after being deported from Guatemala in December 2012, he was solicited by Janice Dyson, then a prostitute in South Beach (Miami Beach). The two spent the night together. Despite Dyson being more than 30 years McAfee's junior, McAfee and Dyson subsequently began a relationship, and married in 2013.
On November 14, 2018, the Circuit Court in Orlando, Florida, refused to dismiss a wrongful death lawsuit against McAfee for Faull's death.
On October 5, 2020, McAfee was arrested in Spain at the request of the U.S. Department of Justice for tax evasion. The indictment alleges he earned millions of dollars from 2014–18, but failed to file income tax returns. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McAfee
