Weirdest thing happened about 2 hours ago reminding me that mother nature always wins.
I heard an odd noise that lasted for about a third of a second sounding like all the air being sucked out of a room and then one of the loudest explosions I've ever experienced. It shook my windows and wiggled the old screen door.
There had been no previous thunder but the first strike was close by.
20 minutes later people are texting me asking about the fire by my house and I'm clueless.
So I walked around the block and didn't see anything and then I looked across the street and found it.

Just lucky it didn't hit that house or power lines, my ups didn't even burp.
Also more luck that it wasn't a dry strike and rain immediately followed.
I'm guessing the volunteer fire department put it out in no time, I didn't even hear the sirens.🙉

- I refer to it as BC, Before Corona, and AD, After Disaster. -
