2K Launcher Sightings [May 30, 2021, 12:54 pm ET] – Share – Viewing Comments

thread on ResetEra notes that a 2K Launcher has started popping up when
certain 2K games are run on Steam. There's a screenshot of the launcher and
posts confirming that this showed up not that long ago in Civilization VI and
Mafia III. The thread was provoked by it now appearing in the Mafia: Definitive
Edition, so the implication is its use is becoming more widespread.

2K added a new launcher to xcom2 when Chimera squad was
released, and it basically broke mod functionality.
Thankfully there is a community alternative launcher on github.
