So to put it in perspective, (and this is purely statistics), African American's were hit by the crack epidemic, now for Caucasians it's Meth and Heroin. There was a decrease for about 10 years until heroin and meth became more commonplace and cheap to make/import.

The increase in sales of meth and heroin are intentional policies to support the livelihoods of teachers in the US and farmers in Afghanistan.

And how do your bank account and political career look?

For the latter, better than Trump's.
For the former, definitely not as good, but I also wasn't given a $14M loan and an already thriving business by my parents, so...

One thing I learned in my Substance Abuse Class is that grandparents are becoming parents twice because they are taking care of their grandkids because the parents have drug issues (it's one of the reasons you see more and more elderly with kids) and then the grandparents can't handle the kids.

And they presented this as a new phenomenon instead of one from the crack epidemic in the '80s forty years ago?

I was in a grocery store tonight, getting my once every two weeks load of groceries. Some mom or grandmother had two kids, maybe 10? 8? Running around like madmen, no masks of course, then playing on a counter for bagging groceries. The staff told them to get down, the mom/grandmother told them to get down, they kept playing there; the guardian and employees gave up. Finally one fell off and cracked his face on the tiles. Then they screamed and cried and blocked the door, as I'm trying to leave. As a I left, I did notice each kid had a cell phone in their hand, the kid that fell didn't even drop it when he almost knocked himself out.

I'm not sure where I'm going with this, other than it doesn't suprise me Youtube Kids is pure shit, and I hope nobody got infected with Covid19 from those fucking kids tonight. Probably 40% mask usage overall in the grocery store, I think a lot of idiots think the pandemic is over.

Easily the most stressful part of my day, and I almost got hit by an 18 wheeler on the way home from work.

Texas or Florida?

As for the 18 wheeler, look at the bright side: your death would have been quick!

Was it a SWIFT Semi Driver? (Trucking joke) but these days it's no longer gameboys, it's cellphones or tablets, or whatever to keep little johnny silent. Being a kid is a vapid wasteland. It was no different when we were kids. Most of being a kid is finding ways to combat boredom. We used to waste our times with these things called television, radio, and comic books.
