Take all the time you need... what I played in closed beta was not a game I'd buy, but not because of any technical issues. There's a whole lot of "trying something different just to be different" going on in this game (a tone you can feel by their insistence on calling zombies "ridden" instead of zombies or infected or any of the other standard terms) and not all of it works well. I hope they took a few concepts back to formula.
I can understand why they tried to have different types of ammo, but L4D got it right in making ammo ammo, because ammo management in an action game is not very fun for casuals.
I can understand why they wanted more control over the cinematic experience, but L4D got it right by giving everybody an unlimited use flashlight because most of us got over games being too dark to see by the time Doom 3 came out.
I can understand why they wanted to spice things up with progression and replayability, but not every game needs to have a deckbuilding with random card draws mechanic just because Slay the Spire was in vogue last year.
I've got a list like this that goes on a while, but you get the point.
