Title Update 1.54 is now live, including the
promised GTA Online
load-time fix. Word is: "Improvements to PC loading times *Thanks to t0st for
his contributions around this part of today's title update." The author of the
fix reveals this triggers
a
$10K bug bounty, noting this award is usually reserved for addressing
security issues. The patch also includes "General network connectivity
improvements."

Big difference for me. Easily cut the load time in half or slightly better.

I just tried, it works really well.
I tried playing on saturday but the loading times were horrible even with GTA being on a M.2. NVME with a 100mbps fiber optic connection.

Only 10,000 for a pretty significant performance increase for one of the most popular games of all time? Worth literally billions, probably?
He should have gotten $100,000 minimum.
But 't0st' is probably young enough to think $10k is decent money for this kind of fix, oh well.
I'd hate to have Rockstar bankrupt itself giving this guy what they actually owe him.

They obviously didn't use any profiling tools to see why their game was taking so fucking long to load.

Valve used to hire them when they weren't stagnant. IIRC Epic did on occasion, too. Seem to remember the Urban Terror guys getting hired by Epic at some point

Rockstar gives no shits about the PC product as long as they get their microtransaction income. GTA4 was the new Crysis with how it ran on PC, except it didn't look half as good
