Within each type of chip, though, all of these companies make several different models. The basic one that is closest to MSRP, then one with better cooling and factory overclocks, one with overkill cooling so the user can go nuts if they want, etc. EVGA has good service after you finally become a customer, but they're just like the rest of them, they like money, so... They aren't bothering to release the cheaper models in any significant number, if at all, when they can put what few chips they do get into those premium packages that sell for higher prices. Especially the high end ones, 3080 and 3090.

This is the most comprehensive TL;DR queue summary out there, it's maintained by an EVGA employee and updated daily with the most relevant details. Most queues are still on the very first day of release, the only ones that have moved significantly (a couple days, maybe a week or two) are the premium models. Some models were basically cancelled and their queue never moved at all. Non-premium models of 3080 and 3090 haven't been reported sold for at least the past 30 days. All while they're still sending products into retail stores... I've seen they have the 3080 Ultras at Best Buy every time they drop GPUs there, at least a couple times per month, while those queues are still stuck in the first few days of sign-ups.
