Out of the Blue

The last few snowfalls around here have all been lighter than expected after the dramatic storm that buried us in a couple of feet of snow a couple of weeks ago. But no matter how little snow they leave behind, the crew has dutifully shown up to clear the parking lot. It's a pretty crazy process, as they come and start plowing the middle of the lot and blaring on the horn to notify us to move our cars so they can plow that area as well. They work so fast that I have to rush like crazy to get out of their way. The good news is the whole process usually lasts less than 10-15 minutes, but it's enough of an adrenaline rush trying to get out of their way that I can probably start skipping my coffee on snowy mornings.

Plowed-out Round-up
Thanks Ant and Neutronbeam.

On your recommendation I tried some Mike's. Tis good!

But after all the talk of 3 hour slow simmered Bolognese I've been on the lookout for some Indomie Mieghetti Bolognese

Bummer. Fry's Electronics is closing. Even though I don't live within 110 miles of one, I have been in them a few times and even bought stuff in one. It was awesome just to walk around in one and see all the nerdy stuff.

If memory serves it was so good we bought some to have at the house and it wasn't quite the same.

I feel the same way about tea and camping. I love hot tea and drink it nearly daily. However, there is nothing like a hot, steaming cup of tea around the morning campfire when it is cold. There's a magic to it that you can't replicate at home.

I did post yesterday/early this morning since shit hit the fan but I appreciate y'all thinking of me. We're good. We got through almost entirely unscathed, knock on wood. Lost city power and city water like so many others but since we're pretty self-sufficient and also like to camp, we made out better than many of our neighbors.

The Texas snow was either fake or caused by President Biden and his Dark Winter plan.
I'm trying to believe in both at the same time but I'm having problems delineating between sanity and having my shoelaces tied together.

Amazon offered to put a space heater inside an unmarked box because it ships in a box that says what it contains.
Since I have packages delivered on the main drag I decided not to tempt fate and let them conceal it during winter time and provide less temptation to porch pirates.

They put space heater under the description on the shipping label anyways.

I can't remember the show where the character ate a teaspoon of instant coffee, totally bypassing the
unnecessary hot water part.
