As long as the patent protects EA's technology, then sure, I'm for them defending it. That's precisely what patent protection affords. However, if EA uses their patent as a blanket to go after a company that creates a unique method of playing streamed games that isn't like EA's tech, then that's another issue. I suspect this patent is the first salvo in the upcoming streaming video games battlefield. EA wants to be on the tactical offensive. Only time will tell.
