About "Tenet", spoilers in secret text:Okay, am I totally missing something or were they incredibly inconsistent and sloppy about people having to "bring your own oxygen" when inverted? I mean Pattinson is traveling backward in comparison to Washington, right? So, wouldn't that mean any time he is with Washington he would have to be inverted? Even if you ignore that, it seemed like they would use and not use oxygen randomly when we were supposed to know they were inverted. It just all seemed terribly sloppy to me.
In the non-spoiler realm, I heard an interview with Nolan where he talked about the fact they used a real 747 and actually crashed it into a building (I assume a building they built for the film, but that wasn't clear). Amazingly he claimed they did it that way because it was cheaper than doing CGI or miniatures to the quality he would have wanted. They bought the plane at a plane graveyard, sold the engines (which were apparently valuable), built simple mock engines, basically just an electric engine to turn the fan blades, and after they were done filming, sold the plane back to the graveyard -- recovering most of the cost of buying it. Pretty cool.
