As a parent to two girls and a grandparent to two girls the stories they tell me about harassment, catcalling, groping on the bus, general asshattery by men is pretty strong. Luckily they are strong minded, but they shouldnt need to be. My son doesnt experience anything comparable.
The youngest girl is 12 and has stories from her bus rides to school. Thats how bad things can be and they dont live in a particularly bad place.
