A new version of the Enderal SE modification for The Elder Scrolls
Skyrim Special Edition is now available on
Nexus Mods (thanks
WannaLogAlready). This is a total conversion of the original game creating its
own world, and has received considerable acclaim. As noted by
Eurogamer, this now has a
Steam Listing, as it will come to Steam next month as a free release. Here's
a description:
Enderal: Forgotten Stories (Special Edition) is a total conversion mod for Skyrim SE, which is now running on the 64 bit version of the TES V: Skyrim Special Edition. This version benefits heavily from the new rendering engine and features improved lighting effects, smoother image quality and the best possible performance & stability.
Enderal is a game modification that is set in its own world with its own landscape, lore and story. It offers an immersive open world, all for the player to explore, overhauled skill systems and gameplay mechanics and a dark, psychological storyline with believable characters.
Enderal is free and can be played by anyone owning a legal copy of TES V: Skyrim Special Edition. It is developed non-commercially by SureAI, the team behind the renowned Oblivion mod Nehrim: At Fate´s Edge (and various other projects).

I agree with Drayth. An amazing game! If you are into story driven games, this is the one to play. The voice acting is excellent (except for the children), and the main quest will draw you in so much that you'll be tempted to not explore. But you should, as it has some really good side quests. Three you shouldn't miss are: Rhalata (initiated by fighting in the Undercity Arena), From Dust to Gold (initiated during one of your guild quests for the Golden Sickle), Our Mark on This World (initiated by talking to Esme in the Frostcliff tavern).
This game easily sits in my top five of all time. Much better than the game whos engine it uses. I have 4 play throughs under my belt, but I might just start another now that the SE version is coming.

I have only played this and the Oblivion TC they made. This group does impressive work.
I will definitely be getting this. I think I had an earlier version but the current one looks great.

There is already also an initial VR version of Enderal SE on Nexus.
