For those considering picking this up, I recommend bookmarking this nexus mod page https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect3/mods/66. For the unfamiliar, the ending of the trilogy was one of the biggest controversies in gaming history. This mod actually re-implements the bittersweet farewell that the game already had in it's files when the developers made the mind-boggling decision to scrap it for one of the most retarded, blindly ridiculous and horrible endings in video game history.

Wait it re-implements stuff that originated from its creators? Wow, I never heard of this mod. I didn't care for the user created mods that fix the ending, because I myself can also write some shit like "Shep got enough of the galaxy united to fuck up the Reapers. He was the one element the Reapers never faced before." etc etc, but when there actually was a good ending prepared by the creators? That's something else. Any more details on this if I may ask?

If this mod gets updated to work with the remaster.. I'm actually looking forward doing it all over again.

Wake me when there is a GOG version. I don't have Steam installed anymore, and I'll never install Origin.
You're probably one of those peeps that only uses the Epic launcher and for that I applaud you.

I don't care what you haters say

Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 are fantastic games. sure the combat system and the rover on 1 kind of sucks, 2 is awesome and 3 sucked at first because the ending was meh..

But.. the story is fantastic. It has both female and male shepards saving the galaxy and kicking robot ass.

Also cool shit like Element Zero and the narrator talking over every single information point make it one of the best story telling RPGS ever.

I replayed the trilogy a few months back using all the graphics mods and some reshade. I look at the trailer and I'm like:

"It looks almost exactly the same as what I just played.

That's it?!?"

Very weak effort.

I didn't read most of the links, but the games better have ray tracing and DLSS included.

Probably none of that. They are just masters, not remakes. There is a specific article about not going to UE4 because of the effort/cost involved.

Wait, EA isn’t adding more gay romance? There goes my hopes of seeing advertising that reads “Mass Effect, now with 33% more Ghay”

If shooting, AI , leveling and items are all improved for ME1 and ME2 and ME3 are unified in 1 game then that is definitely a good reason to replay it...... but I am guessing Bioware (or whoever is actually doing this) is half-assing it as they half ass everything

First one was my favorite, by far--except for the terrain vehicle--they say that's fixed, now, but it's a bit late, imo. The first ME and the first Dragon Age were RPGs...the sequels were all about combat...which nixed both for me as far as interest went in the sequels. ME could have been so much more had it continued in the RPG mold--just like the DA sequels. I know that lots of people liked the sequels but I could never get motivated--as I found clicking the mouse to shoot stuff constantly an annoying distraction...;)

It is well known that I don't make mistakes--so, if you should happen across an error in something I have written, you can be confident in the fact that *I* did not write it.

Some of the ME1 shots look pretty impressive, but love to see screenshots or videos of the new/updated UI for it.
