So what is the point of this game? (Or any game of this type?) You build stuff, to build better and bigger stuff, to build better and bigger stuff? I could never understand the appeal really. So in this particular one, are there enemies you fight? Do they come and steal or burn down your shit? Is there some kind of hostile AI builder out there that you are competing with? Is the environment the enemy? Is it like Simcity, where it's a complex juggling system where everything needs to be in balance or else it turns to shit? Are there earthquakes, other natural disasters?

You build a dyson sphere, duh Aside that, none of what you wrote is in the game, and what will come is mystery. The point is even now, with version 0.6 this game is WAY MORE FUN than Factorio or Satisfactory, why? Because you can see what you are really building. It is pretty awesome to see the sun in the sky slowly being built over by an ginormous space structure. But yes, the game needs something. You can play with scarce ressources where smart automating is key and there is a failure point. But needless to say, some enemy planets would be nice. Not invasions, but just a planet wide threat.... anyway, I never liked the combat in Factorio.... and Satisfactory has even less of that (and there it's even worse)

That's high praise. I wouldn't go that far but it does have potential. From what I've played, I don't see the game having much replayability at the moment but that will probably change in the future as they add more features. Mod support would help a lot as well. The English translation is hilariously bad. It doesn't really affect the game, it's just funny hearing badly translated tutorials being read verbatim. I still prefer Factorio and Satisfactory but those games have had years of polish and refinement. I'm sure DSP will get there too and I'm looking forward to future updates. It's great.

Ditto what Vlad said. It definately has the charm of Factorio and Satisfactory. For an early access game it is as polished as Satisfactory was on start in 2019, which is to say very playable despite being incomplete and with amusing translations from Chinese to English.

My only big gripe so far is building conveyors and sorters could be less annoying.

Damn, I just started playing Factorio, it took me 6 hours just on 4 of the tutorials, then after 300 hours or whatever, I still need to play Satisfactory too and this... that's a whole lot of hours automating.

If only there was some way to... You can finish that joke for yourself. Or have it automated.

I think Vlad hit the nail on the head. It is high praise to compare it to Factorio. And even without looking I'm going to guess it needs some of the polish and updates Factorio has received over the nearly five years since I purchased it. I'll check out some Let's Play vids and look forward to playing it if it does indeed approach Factorio's level...
