It's unfortunate any time a small studio is bought out, but this is a serious "meh" from me. I liked Don't Starve, and think Mark of the Ninja was excellent, but those two were 8 and 9 years ago. Invisible Inc was pretty good, too... 6 years ago. Oxygen Not Included did not thrill me, Hot Lava is an interesting concept with an art style that left me cold (pardon the pun), and Griftlands "deck-building" is a solid pass from me. They had their impact, now they are cashing in. Pretty standard practice. Cue company-line "let us retain the level of control that we demand" rhetoric that always coincides with such buyouts.
