VentureBeat - Vicarious Visions' merger with Blizzard is bad for gamers.

But this whole thing feels like a bummer. Vicarious Visions did amazing work these past few years and created some great games. Now, the studio will be more of invisible hand, and I have to wonder if I’m ever going to get that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 remake that I crave."

wow, that's pretty telling of either Jen's abilities or the lack of direction/competence within Blizzard right now. Its core competency is to develop games, and with this move they put an outsider to the top of totem pole.
He isn't getting that Tony Hawk game anytime soon.
I'm not getting why this is bad for gamers. The only reason the author even really lists is because they might not get a game they probably weren't making anyway, and the only thing the team worked on before was a couple of one-off remasters. I guess I'm not under the impression that a couple of good new games (if that's even what they're working on, since there's baseless speculation there too) isn't a better thing than another niche remaster that they may or may not have ever even done.
