Life isn't the ultimate curse. It's something else that I won't go into here because it is not an appropriate forum. But I will say you can find what it is by looking up Romans 5:12 and 1 Corinthians 15:26.

Visually nice, but I am having a hard time liking it even as a former fan of old sitcoms like I Love Jeanie, Bewitched, etc.

Bit of a bummer -- Mira's death, "The cause was complications of the West Nile virus..."

Hmm, the news story I read didn't list a cause of death. Where did you see he died of COVID?

He was in the ICU earlier this month for Covid and supposedly never left the hospital. If I was a betting man...

When I say statistics can prove or disprove anything, this is the kind of stuff I mean.

The average life expectancy in the US for women in the top 5% income bracket, which as a successful actress I'm sure she was, is 90. She died 25 years below that. That's pretty early IMO.

Going before your 70th isn't a big shocker, but compare it to other television casts around the same era and it's night and day. The most direct comparison would probably be DS9, given it ran parallel to Babylon 5, and had an even larger ensemble cast. Of the 10 characters with the most episode credits on B5, 6 actors are dead, none older than 65. For DS9, that number is 1. You can even expand it to the top 20 most credited characters and the number is still only 3, and two of those died in their late 70s.

I'm really looking forward to WandaVision, but I hate the weekly release model, so I'm waiting for it to be finished so I can binge it. It's hard though, there's constantly spoilers everywhere. It's the same for any new show these days, I feel like I'm always tip-toeing through a mine field.

I would recommend watching. It's actually better to watch it as new episodes debut so that you can stay in the loop and experience things for the first time free of spoilers.

We here at Barad-Dur will be watching the Blood Bowl Superbowl this weekend. Or watching Southampton vs. Arsenal in the FA Cup. Kind of the same thing although Southampton may have a couple less Cave Trolls on their team. They have been pretty impressive this year.

The NBC Sports Network is shutting down at the end of the year. Apparently "some" of the content will be moved to NBC's streaming platform. So, I wonder if 2021 will be the last time we see daily multi-hour coverage of the TdF in the US? Hope not.
