Heh. Even more cathartic now. They were forced to change their domain name:

Loving Wandavision. I like the different approach and I like how well they are playing things. Very creative and very bold given that the standard superhero formula probably would have been well received.
I do think that it might play better to older audiences just because of how each episode is basically a decade of TV being represented....and the first few episodes go pretty far back in the old TV time machine. I Love Lucy, Bewitched, etc etc. My adult children know of these shows but all of them are fairly sure they have never seen them. Makes the references and the jokes fall a little flatter with them I am sure. I also love the cast. The neighbor, played by Kathryn Hahn, is stealing every scene she is in.
so what's the show actually about? can't just be a 70s sitcom about avengers can it?
You ever see that '90s movie where Tobey Maguire uses a magic remote control to enter the world of his favorite B&W sitcom? The homage to classic TV is a facade, and there comes a point where it crumbles away.

I have to say Wandavision is a strange series, but it is also strangely attractive with its Leave It To Beaver aesthetic. The black and white color looks like authentic 1950s black and white, like they produced it in the 1950s, threw it in the Disney vault, and released itin December last yearthis month. The biggest draw for me is Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, both reprising their roles as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Vision. They are excellent actors, and it's fun to watch them embody their characters inside this unusual black and white world. It is also the first series in the MCU Phase Four. There's an overarching story, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it unfolds.
So far, I give the series a thumbs up!

Damn, really frustrated about The Expanse. I hate having to spend so much time watching, either naomi or marco.
On the bright side I can just skip all their scenes on rewatch, since knowing how the tv series handled it.
I blame the book differences and how the actors started out decent but went down starting with season 3.
