This could work. Nielsen was a straight man, which made his transition all that much better to the knowing audience.

The amount of damage done to the US in the first week alone has to have China and Russia laughing at us.
Neeson did straight face in a commercial a while back, and he was actually very funny at it.

Could work. He did say previously he was gonna retire from acting outright though so I doubt it will ever happen, but it could work.
I remember what made Nielsen so funny in Airplane. He was a well known dramatic actor so it was a real WTF moment when he did such outlandish comedy. Of course the man had an excellent sense of comedic timing (I've seen him live) so that is what will make or break Neeson. I hope it works out. We could use some outlandish comedy these days 
Ehhhh.... well, maybe it'll work, but why not try something new, Any Movie Producer on Planet Earth?
