Yeah, when they say Hitman 1, I think of the very first one. Very confusing IMO.

This series never grabs my interest. I mean, I have a whole platoon of Nazgul to do that stuff for me while I play Mario Kart with Mrs. Sauron and the junior Saurons.

The targets are always absolute bellends, all of them terrorists, heads of organized crime, or illuminati-types orchestrating global catastrophes.

In any case, the appeal lies much less in the story/setting than in it being a stealth game in a detail-rich sandbox with dozens of avenues for completing dozens of objectives, and except for a few exceptions, no auto-fails if your meticulous plan goes tits up.

I seem to own a ton of Hitman games (part of some big Square-Enix sale years ago) but haven't actually played any of them since Blood Money came out almost 15 years ago. The most recent one I got was Hitman 2 (which I recall was a freebie). Is the series worth revisiting? Never really felt motivated to before.

Was this supposed to be a big deal game? Totally not on my radar.

I'm more interested in the VR version that I can't play cause exclusive.
