Those are things that happen when demand exceeds supply. I don’t think they would call a hardware glut healthiest. Maybe “best for consumers”, but they wouldn’t use “healthiest” for the opposite.
I imagine people spending more time at home / working from home has led to a lot of upgrades and that is a big part of it, but I choose to place blame for any downsides solely on the coin miners. Because I can.

There is zero of any of that if you just want a desktop PC to do, you know, remote-work or home-schooling with.

The laptop I bought in August has one of these hybrid Optane/ssd drives. It works quite well, although I’d hate to have to reinstall the OS on it. Setting up Optane is a HUGE pain in the ass.
With SSD prices now, it’s a dead idea. It made sense back when SSDs were small and pricey.
We have one drive left in the store. I might build it into one of our floor models just so it goes out the door.
