Out of the Blue

Happy birthday Betty White, as the beloved comic actor turns 99 today. She tells the AP that she'll celebrate with a hot dog and French fries, feeding ducks, and staying up as late as she wants. A woman after my own heart.

Obituary: Phil Spector, famed music producer and convicted murderer, dies at 81.

And I'm going with the Bills over KC next week Mahomes or no Mahomes. I'm really hoping we see a Packers vs. Bills Superbowl - where the Pack wins obviously.

Uh, that is not what the results show. They show you picking KC.

Yeah, I may not have updated that but I did indeed change my mind, just to be honest. However that was 'for funzies' pick. If I was laying money on it I absolutely would have picked KC.

Yeah, that didn't seem like much of a smack, more like the tackler just pulled him to the ground. But whatever, as I said previously, here is to hoping it is a minor injury and he can return at 100% for the conference championship game.

You are still perfect on the picks, Cutter. Well done.

The concussion came from his smacking his head into the turf like that. Still, a shame the Browns couldn't pull it off with that advantage of Mahomes being gone.

Glad the Bucs downed the Saints at any rate. Still they're both pretty chippy, low class teams. Looking forward to a Bills vs. Packers Superbowl. Where the Packers win obviously.

I continuously tell people that they are close enough because backing up doesn't help, they just keep coming.

Humanity in a group is dumb as rocks. I constantly see people in shopping isles openly coughing or talking to one another while blocking access. All in their own little world with no regard to fellow shoppers who just want to get in and out... preferably without picking up a contagious virus.

Holy crap, Mahomes got his bell rung there, eh? He could barely stand up. That's a concussion for sure.

Looking at the play in slow-mo, it looks more like he got his neck torqued quite a bit. Hopefully they check him for spinal injuries, as well as tissue injuries in his neck. That's how people get their discs burst.

*EDIT* welp, they are saying concussion publicly at least.
I agree, I didn't see much of a blow to the head. Whatever the case, I hope he is well enough to go next week.

I'm going to assume you mean it is a shame he committed murder, not a shame that he died in prison.

That's a safe assumption. He was always a weirdo but all the great artists generally are. Regardless of his crime the man produced some of the best music ever made. I mean we wouldn't have had that most memorable of movie scenes in Stripes without him....Da Do Run Run!

I like Cartman's solution: just carry a 1x2x6' and poke people with it to keep them away.

Now I need to go pick up some Tegridy Farms Pandemic Special. Be right back.

How about them Bills and Packers, eh? Man, I hope Cleveland beats KC. I'd love to see a Browns vs. Bills AFC Championship. Maybe a nice snowbowl. Hope the Bucs down the Saints too. It'll be nice to see Rodgers get another Lombardi trophy this season.

Now that's Japanese efficiency for you!
