So did Valve until Epic went off and created their game store. Other than one game sold for $50 instead of $60, most games are priced for the full $60 even after the publisher gets a more significant cut. Any court decision won't serve the public interest. The only one who benefits is Epic. Epic is only building a raid party to serve its purpose. As the saying goes, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions."

Epic Games Exclusives are like Adam Sandler Sony movies. They're so whored out that they're complete profitable before release. To the developers at least.

Nope. Don't fuck Epic (or only a little bit ). This one is 100% on greedy IO Interactive. If they decide to create a game series where you can play the first game inside the second game and the second game inside the third game then they should maybe not change their publishing strategy between games in a way that makes this game integration process very inconvenient for their previous customers. By the way, it seems like there is also some outrage on the interwebs about having to rebuy HITMAN 2 but wasn't this the same for HITMAN 2 if you wanted to play the first HITMAN inside the second game? Wasn't there a "Legacy" pack as DLC or as part of the season pass? Or was that "Legacy" pack always free? I bought HITMAN 2 GOTY on sale which includes the "Legacy" pack so I have no idea but I thought that you had to originally pay if you wanted HITMAN inside HITMAN 2, no?

I could care less about HITMAN, choosing pin on costumes is not my thing, nor is the usual linear couch potato style play.

I still think the whole deal with Epic and Apple is not the 30% on the retail sale of a title, but the 30% of any microtransactions made in perpetuity via the titles micro-transactions.

30% of the title sale is fine.

30% of any revenue generated via online transactions via the title is crossing the line and I hope some one nails Apple on that. That is just greedy BS by Apple.

Tim doesn't care about this little guy. He wants to create a proprietary draconian walled garden inside Apple's draconian walled garden. Or requires you to wait a year when Epic exclusivity ends, and as a bonus, the price will be a whole lot lower. I'm OK with that option, and have plenty to play until then.
