Out of the Blue

Deadline reports No Time To Die is going to be pushed back yet again, and the new James Bond movie is now targeting a fall release. I have mixed feelings about them continuing to delay the movie's release. I'm eager to see it, but I also prefer to see new Bond films in the theater. So I guess I can hope that things will change between now and autumn that will make me more willing to go to the movies to see this, as unlikely as that feels at the moment. So it's hard to say if I'm shaken or stirred by this news, but I just have to live with it either way.

To be clear I was being facetious about the crust and the specific cutting etc.

I did not realize I was wading into such serious sandwich territory..lol Crusts are serious business.

The Mordor sandwich: Roasted sliced hobbit, orange sauce, pickles, jalapenos, on a hot crusty roll. My favorite.

For what it is worth, I would agree the only time you should slice a sandwich made with ordinary sliced bread is for easier handling by a small child. A large hoagie can be sliced without offense...

The Washington one I'm kinda ehhh... about unless they'd specifically mentioned salmon. Also same Cutter, crust is often the best part, though cutting sandwiches sometimes makes eating them a lot less messy.

And no one has the PB&J as a state sandwich? That's gotta' be one of the most popular sandwiches on the planet!
I am not so sure it is the most popular on the planet, PB&J sandwich is very much a North American thing.

But the real question is are you a real patriot and cut the sandwich diagonally after removing the crust like a proper human being? I mean add the potato chips to that PB&J or GTFO of here.

I don't cut sandwiches. It causes them to lose flavor. And the crust is the healthiest part of the bread. Well I virtually never cut sandwiches. The Club House - the absolute King of Sandwiches - must be cut diagonally both ways with the tooth picks holding each quarter of the sandwich. It absolutely infuriates me when restos have a non-standard Clubhouse - chicken instead of turkey, aioli instead of mayo, cheese on it, that sort of shit - on their menu and have the fucking gall to actually refer to it as a Clubhouse Sandwich. It's like assholes who make French Onion Soup without Gruyere. It's not fucking French Onion Soup with anything beyond Gruyere!

I just got spammed by @2020maga dot com pitching a whole bunch of Trump swag. I couldn't see any of it because images appear broken whenever they go into the spam folder. I've never visited any political websites or sign up for anything political, so this is pure spam. How they got my email address is concerning. It means the website is actively buying emails from dark web sources. How low does a company need to go to market their products?

Sean Connery is dead, and so is Bond, imo. I loved Casino Royale with Craig as Bond. I think it's the best Bond film ever made. I thought that all of Craig's Bonds since that one have waxed measurably worse, however. It's too bad, but all things must pass.

If you really want to laugh so hard that you lose your lunch, try giving the first "Casino Royale" with David Niven a half hour of your life. I don't think you can watch much more of it than that...;) It really, really stinks--and that is nowhere near the criticism it deserves. As a "parody" it's so bad--more of a parody of Green Acres, imo. But if "Oh, dahling...how are you, dahling?" is your cup of tea, and you liked Za-Za Gabor in Green Acres--then you will probably like David Niven's "Casino Royale"...;)

Thank goodness the first Bond Novel, Casino Royale, was nothing like this movie--or we may never have heard of James Bond!

Agreed. Casino Royale is the best Bond movie. The other Daniel Craig ones are, for me, unwatchable

Completely off topic for anything.. but I was wondering if anybody knows what happened to Creston? He commented pretty much daily until December 2019 and not a word after that!

I've noticed plenty of people over the years who were once frequent posters but now are gone. Some died, some stopped caring about video games, and some changed their username. I had a different username when I first joined this site way back when it was launched
When nin went offline many people including myself asked blue to check in on him. Blue was able to get a hold of him and it turns out he's okay.
CJParker was cool enough to give notice of leave.
If you go to the stats page you can see how many thousands of users have made accounts throughout the years. I'm always amazed when somebody posts in a thread that I've never seen before and they joined in 2008 or 2003.

Are you really only 6 years old here? Hmm, kind of surprised

Oh the delicious irony...hahahaha
