New Indiana Jones Game Revealed [Jan 12, 2021, 7:24 pm ET] – Share – Viewing Comments

StarWars.com whips up interest in a new Indiana Jones game that's in the
works at Bethesda's Machine Games Studio, the developer behind the revival of
the Wolfenstein series. It embeds
this tweet
from Bethesda that features a cinematic trailer teasing the project. Their
write-up says the cryptic trailer may provide some clues about what to
expect:
Indiana Jones. We always knew, someday, you’d come walking back through our door.
In major news for fans of the cinematic icon, Lucasfilm Games announced today that a new Indiana Jones game will be swinging our way, being developed by the award-winning studio, MachineGames, and executive produced by game industry icon Todd Howard of Bethesda Games Studios. The game will tell a wholly original, standalone tale set at the height of the career of the famed adventurer.
While few details surrounding the Indy game have been revealed, Bethesda Softworks released a cryptic teaser that may hold some clues. Take a look for yourself above and follow @LucasfilmGames and @Bethesda for more information on this title in the future.

When I think "Indiana Jones" as a game, certainly "shooter" doesn't even come to mind. I would imagine either Action Adventure Cinematic /w Occasional Shooty/Whip elements (like Uncharted-style games) or a classic Point-Click Style Mystery/Puzzle game (which would be amazing if it were VR, exploring ancient lost places to recover artifacts).
Uncertain, but given the thought that I feel went into the Wolfenstein games, I'm excited to see almost anything coming from them.
Particularly since I don't think the Wolfenstein games sold very well, so I'm happy to see them still existing.

Did they do anything besides those Wolfenstein follow ups and that Quake pack (which I never played)? I don’t mean to imply that those were bad or anything, just curious if I missed something.

People are paying way too much attention to Todd and too little to Machine Games, who made some of the best shooters of the past decade

Lol I was moderately hype on reading the news, a modern Indie game could be epic.

notable things i saw : a drawing of the golden idol from raiders; a map of the vatican and a ticket to rome. couldn't quite read the document in the typewriter. not sure about the books - that's more research than i'm willing to do XD
