Now I'm kind of forgetful but didn't something just happen in the last couple of days involving the prouds, maybe around January 6th?

Oh I get it, it has to be pointed out to someone that says both sides.

Yet you felt the need to mention the right-wing hate groups anyway. Virtue signal much?

There are groups on both sides of the fence that threaten the rights of American citizens on a daily basis. None of it is acceptable and it's getting really old.

It's far more likely the "company" was just a scam operation looking to get people's credit card info and now that they obtained it, they are conveniently "deleting their social media over fear of fat unwashed basement dwellers killing them".

Really? Has anyone ever done something like that to you or your friends? I would take such an attack quite seriously. So many mentally-unstable types out there today.

Because they are the clearest and most exigent threats to liberty and democracy today from the populace. When dealing with cancer, it's generally a better idea to treat liver cancer before you worry about squamous cell carcinoma. It's far better to triage than to vaguely gesture and proclaim BSAB.

Moreover, there is a non-trivial difference between liberties and rights. The only codified rights Americans have are framed by the first through tenth Amendments. However decades, if not centuries, worth of propaganda have convinced Americans that they are interchangeable leading us to the terrorism and treason displayed at the Capitol so recently. Liberty must be carefully nurtured, regulated, and tempered so that it can be preserved and enjoyed by all.

In my own particular idiosyncratic view, the influence and reach of unregulated capitalism is a greater threat to the long term viability of American democracy than any one "left wing" or "right wing" group. The most damaging single hit to the integrity of the republic was the decision of Citizens United. It unfairly tipped the balance in to an Orwellian "Some are more equal than others" state and thereby reducing the power of the body public yet concentrating it in the hands of a select few.

The word "black" in the title is all it takes to bring out the Trumpoloons these days, even if the article makes no mention of the motivation/backing of the death threats.

Let's just hope the next time this infestation of wack jobs swarm and attack, the Feds don't have to go full Waco on them.

I've been engaged online for more than 20 years. I've gotten in extremely heated political debates. Never once have I been threatened with death. I guess I was just lucky.

Huh. Proud Boys, Neo-Nazis, bigots, racists, the mob that committed treason at the Capitol, Trump supporters (Some of the least educated in America), "militia" members, people claiming to be "patriots", and QAnon nutjobs spring to my mind at a much faster rate than anyone associated with the rather broad nom de guerre of "antifa".

But then I don't have a particularly myopic political axe to grind and therefore use a general plurality of "people" instead of a specific singular example.

Every single one of them is a fucking traitor. Some of them don't even realize they're traitors. They are just easily brainwashed and actually believe they are patriots, thanks to being inducted into the cult by the lead godking traitor. The others are willfully hateful and treasonous, just looking for a reason to get revenge on the North.

When it comes to death threats over video games, I expect so much more from a country where they violently attack people for having a different political opinion.

Newsflash: Antifa isn't actually a thing. It's just a philosophy. If you're not anti-fascist, I guess that makes you pro-fascist. Interesting, the types of people who willingly admit that...
