Assuming that is the case, they should have either sucked it up and voted to impeach anyway, or they should resign. Obviously, I don't expect them to do that because I know they have no loyalty to their oath. Their main, and possibly only, interest is in retaining their own power.Mr. Tact wrote on Jan 14, 2021, 06:52:
On a related note, there was reporting that some GOP House members were "in tears" from fear because they believed if they voted for the second impeachment of Trump it would result in threats of violence/harm against themselves and their families. And while I might have some limited sympathy for that situation, the fact they are in that situation should be proof beyond any measure the necessity of impeaching and convicting Trump. And if they can't see that and vote for impeachment, then they should resign their offices.
One reason they voted against impeachment was fear for their life from their constituents if they voted for it. 2nd amendment, FTW.

By the way, in case anyone was wondering -- the US Senate has previously held an impeachment trial after the impeached President had left office. So, doing it now would not be breaking new ground.
Only Andrew Johnson, Bill Clinton, and Trump have made it to the Senate trial, all during their terms, all acquitted.
What trial are you referring to?

Yeah, my step-sister is one of two close family members (an uncle...because everyone has THAT uncle) that are QANON zombies. They are nothing alike and come from very different backgrounds and lifestyles. My uncle is impossible to have a reasonable conversation with about anything...and consequently I basically don't. It's self isolating to be so full of hate.

Apparently the crazies are saying Trump is going to attempt a coup, again: "She then told me that Biden, Obama, and Hillary were all dead and Trump was going to use the emergency broadcast system and create a complete power/cell phone/internet outage in order to drain the rest of the swamp."
Simply stupefying...

Jivaro and others if you want to read more stories of families being ripped apart by Q, here's a subreddit, it shows how deep the problem is. Yes we are on the cusp of some kind of war, they aren't going away and as we see now they are planning on storming all capitols. Oh and there hasn't been one Q thing I've read that is grounded to the point I can even consider, it's such unbelievable fiction that changes as their shit gets debunked over and over.

I feel for me it is important to understand what I'm dealing with.
To all that say freedom of speech is being taken away, again gov't and private are different, but what do you expect to happen if you attack the gov't and don't topple? You should expect the toughest reactions and penalties that can be given to Americans imo, that's what I would have thought. I like to make things simpler to grasp, other than the whole gov't. What does Horrorscope think will happen if he goes attack my local police station? Bad, bad things, expect death or life in prison.
