Yeah, my step-sister is one of two close family members (an uncle...because everyone has THAT uncle) that are QANON zombies. They are nothing alike and come from very different backgrounds and lifestyles. My uncle is impossible to have a reasonable conversation with about anything...and consequently I basically don't. It's self isolating to be so full of hate.
Yeah, I had that uncle too (he passed away last year). Super smart guy: he was an electrical engineer who designed the central electrical system for the International Space Station. But he was a hardcore right-winger, although not a religious one: he was an atheist (which is strange as my aunt, his wife, is a hardcore Christian evangelical).
