New Arkane Game Hint

There's an interview with Harvey Smith on Vandal, talking with the director of Arkane Austin in the site's native Spanish. Putting their linguistic skills to work, IGN translates the conversation to show how Harvey reveals he is currently working on a new unannounced project:
Speaking to Vandal (and translated by IGN), Smith explained that he had moved back to Austin after completing Dishonored 2 at Arkane's Lyon studio, and confirmed that he's not a part of the company's next game, but a separate unannounced project: "I'm not on Deathloop , I'm on something else, working with the guys who made Dishonored and Prey."

Arx 2 someday would be amazing.

Please be in the spirit of Prey and Dishonored, if not literally of one of those franchises.

Deathloop looks very Dishonoured in terms of game play.

A modern remake of Arx Fatalis would be wonderful. I remember playing the demo long years ago and being very impressed. More recently I think I got it free from Bethesda but haven't had time to revisit it (and I'm not interested in installing their launcher software either).

I didn't care at all for Dis 1/2 but I'd be down for a new Arx.

Here's the patches from the wiki and mods from Nexus, made specifically for GOG and Steam. If your installing from a cd/dvd there's extra patches needed.
I'm pretty sure Arx Libertatis is from one of the devs (past or current) that bring the game up to work with modern systems.

Odd, guess I read his previous news wrong. Could have sworn it said he was leaving the company. I could only hope it's Arx 2 ! Lighter

I loved ARX--still love that game. It oozes originality and style--I've yet to complete it, and I'm using the OpenGL mod for the game, even though they supposedly have released a D3d12(?) version--or was it D3d11? Can't recall. It's weird, it's strange, and it's not a cookie-cutter first-person-shooter! I'd love to see another ARX! Probably shouldn't hold my breath waiting on it...ARX is a real collector's item, imo.
It is well known that I don't make mistakes--so, if you should happen across an error in something I have written, you can be confident in the fact that *I* did not write it.

Arkane? YES, please. Dishonored and (Arkane's) Prey were AWESOME fun. These are games that should make Doom money (instead of Super Mario Doomkey Kong 2020), but unfortunately great games often don't make money (hello there, Lookings Glass' Rotten Carcass). Life just ain't fair.
