tweet from Sergiy Galyonkin indicates that the
recently identified
problem that caused graphics card temperature spikes on systems when running
the Epic Games Launcher was a bug (thanks
PC Gamer). He says they have rolled out a patch as a preliminary partial
hotfix that seems to be working:
The fix seems to be working, so it shouldn't take long.
The hotfix is live now (11.0.2). It's not a full solution, but things should improve.

Not a skit. Just the way he said things struck most people as odd. You can make fun of someone, and still think they're brilliant. I grew up imitating his speech patterns, while still being inspired by him and watching all his programs.

Well, well. I was wondering what was causing my system to safe-boot into BIOS, with no activity from me (no overclock either). I guess now I know.

Just because they admit there's a problem with the client doesn't mean they're not spying on you. They already did that with Steam.
