PC DEATH STRANDING Augmented with Cyberpunk 2077 Content

A new update is now available on Steam for DEATH STRANDING, adding Cyberpunk 2077 content to the Windows edition of this walking simulator/action/adventure. This includes six new missions, and additional themed content. It also adds a hacking mode to the game, which is shown off in this PC Update Hacking Trailer. Here's more:
Exclusive to PC this FREE update for DEATH STRANDING contains six new missions featuring characters and lore from Cyberpunk 2077, a game that needs no introduction. What’s more, players can expect exclusive items and an all-new Hacking function. Oh and it’s OUT NOW!

Porters can now get hands on with several unlockable aesthetic and equipment items, including:

  • Cyberpunk 2077 themed Reverse Trike vehicle with improved jumping power
  • “Silver Hand” modelled after Johnny Silverhand’s robotic arm that can be equipped and used in game
  • New holograms including a SAMURAI symbol signboard and a Atlas Trauma Team vehicle hologram for certain constructions
  • Several fashion items including Johnny Silverhand’s sunglasses

As mentioned, in addition to the above, this DEATH STRANDING x Cyberpunk 2077 PC update also introduces a new Hacking function that Sam Bridges can use in combat to target enemy machines. Porters will have the ability to stop Mule sensor poles from activating for a limited time, stun enemy Odradeks and hack Mule trucks to stop them in their tracks. Take a look here...

Gotchya.

Just weird to see "easter eggs" of something freshly released.

I loved Death Stranding, but the way the game ends the story completely drains any desire I might have had to go back and play more. Especially with the end-game character.

Cool for people who are just getting into DS though!

I would love a completely single player mode, or even the distributed online mode they have now, but with an option where your structures DON'T degrade... after the main storyline of course. Just so I could finish 100% rebuilding the entire US if the desire arose.

Cool tie-in! I like seeing these sorts of cross-promotional things. Also, I'm beginning to find the vast quantities of salt about CP2077 amusing. Keep crying, folks. Some of us are enjoying the game, despite some of its shortcomings.

It makes sense considering Cyberpunk contains a bunch of video game easter eggs... including Death Stranding.

Not going to mention my favorite, as most will encounter it and the surprise is great, but the voice was recognized instantly with a bit of disbelief and the dialogue was completely in line with the character. There are some great things to find in this game.

Its called a nod to people you respect. As a matter of cross promotion, eveyone scratchs each others back when it comes to a little bit of promotion. I was expecting to see something like this happen, when i found a BB in the NCPD station. And having Portal trying to kill me one more time was worth a great laugh.

I'm not sure I'm getting what is going on here... a completely different game putting another games content in? Is that even legal? Or am I missing something?
They would have made a deal and signed a contract, you'd assume, and probably paying a license fee and/or a portion of the profits. They're not just putting in Cyberpunk and Half Life content and hoping they don't get sued.

And the hype goes on...it's beginning to get ridiculous.
It is well known that I don't make mistakes--so, if you should happen across an error in something I have written, you can be confident in the fact that *I* did not write it.
