I don't get the Hades fad tho, game is a dumb ADHDfest.
It's not a fad, it's gotten a lot of good ratings.
I enjoy it, partly because of the great story. Partly because even with my not so great twitch skills I'm making progress. Partly because it seems like every death accomplishes something, I can always buy or unlock something, so doesn't feel as much grindy as other roguelike games because of that.
Felt like I had played games like this hundreds of times already with a few variations here and there. It is undoubtedly a fad, most likely propped up by all the big twitch ADHD influencers fawning all over it at release.
Gameplay is the very definition of unoriginal and MIND NUMBINGLY REPETITIVE.

Noita on the other hand, jewel in the rough, replay value is off the charts, every "corner" is a different adventure, it is practically never repetitive and the combinations are endless, gameplay is innovative, physics are ground breaking innovative. As for the story, it really doesn't need one. Yet it isn't even on the top 50 best 2020 games list over @ Polygon because the big twitch influences didn't fawn all over it.
A pure innovative diamond in the rough gets no limelight at all. A damn shame if you ask me.
