Cyberpunk 2077 Launches

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available for Windows, offering the chance to play CD PROJEKT RED's eagerly anticipated sci-fi role-playing game. You can find where to pick this up on the official website and there's more support for the launch on GOG.com. Here's the previously released Launch Trailer and here's a refresher in case you've been sleeping in the Matrix:
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.

Was getting ready to play, but now I'm reading you can't remap many of the keys, turn mouse smoothing off, etc.

This might be a fast refund.

I should have known better. No matter how big a game is, you can't expect modern developers to get PC Gaming 101 correct.

Well now the full truth and everything you want to know will come out on how PC this game is and also how this is on PC.

Had the same headache with Red Dead 2. I've been chipping away at a usable scheme with AutoHotkey.

Looks awesome, but no option to disable bright orange perma-waypoint is a refund for me. Unfortunate, I was sure there would be an option(especially with a minimap). Other than that with a1080ti and 8700(non k) and some video settings/driver-judo, it looked great and ran decent! Hope all enjoy! I'll be waiting for option and/or looking for a mod as soon as there is one for clearing that perma-dot off my screen.

*on the plus side* I did watch Johnny Mnemonic earlier, and fired up Virtuosity right after it while waiting for the game to unlock. I forgot how good of 90's Tech-Future Action-Fun these movies were! Good gaming to all!!

Once it is all patched up this looks like it will be a great game to dive into. I'm sticking to giving it a few months rather than play a buggy release.

For those diving in now, I hope you have a great experience with minimal issues.

Might be handing out donuts.

I haven't made it outside, but here is my performance:

2060, 1440P, 8 year old i7. (Massive change coming once inventories of the latest greatest are in place)

With DLSS off and with their given settings for my system which is a combo of med-high, with high be a max setting in many important things, aka looks good.
55 Frames.

With DLSS at Quality, the best setting of 4 it goes to 75 solid and that is what I have my system locked to, so I'll need to turn that off to see what it pulls in full, that said I'm at 98% GPU usage and 85% CPU usage. So it's running pretty efficient. My memory is crap so it holds me back some as well.

So far so good, couple very minor keybind nitpicks.

My ole man 1060 1050P same settings no DLSS on that, he's pegged at his locked 60 at least indoors.
My son in the same boat 1070, 1080P, newer i5, unsure what he's getting but at least 60...

I took Corpo, ole man took Street Punk and we have totally different starts, that's good.

EDIT:
Keybinds O=Inventory and J=Quest Log and can't be remapped.
Going outside, oh yeah hit. went from 35 to 55 fps using DLSS Balanced mode, lifesaver.

I'd like to know more about the 1070 performance. I'm rocking that now except with a 5 year old i7 and 16gb memory. Not sure if it's worth it to attempt this game now (meaning in a few months), or wait until I upgrade graphics/card or entire build. This build has been rock solid for 5 years straight but now it can show it's age with what's going out next gen.

Not even an hour into the game and lots of quest breaking bugs are popping up that force you to load a previous save kinda ruins the immersion....not good. Beautiful game, & great mechanics but not very polished.

Not surprising how big and complex this game is.
I'm sure it'll be quite playable in a few months.

Again, just imagine if it was released back on those original release dates. Prior to all the delays. Imagine what state it was in then? Now I'm not saying all is lost when we are talking about CDPR. They didn't just release Witcher 3 in a flawless state. From what I read, it was hella buggy on release. I finally played it when it's final patches were released and probably experienced almost no earth shattering bugs in my 2 full gameplays. Like I probably had to bring out the bug/glitch if you know what I mean more so than anything that was just apparent. Perhaps I ride Roach off a cliff or do something stupid that could bring out some weird effect, but otherwise, it was rather rock solid.

I'd expect this game to go through an abundance of patches as they continue to work heavily. Especially once covid is under better control and I'm sure everyone can return back to the office 100% and they can "focus" better.

Naw, they just wanted to shove it out the door for Xmas sales. And it's so stupid because every Spring by March/April it's the biggest dry spell in gaming. People have money again post-Xmas and they're itching for a new game. Devs and Pubs should start looking at that as the new sweet spot. Reviews and comments around reviews all seem to be universal that this thing launched way too soon. Needed a minimum 3 months more in the oven. Oh well, I should hopefully have my new GPU and monitor by then so here's hoping that all works out for the best.

The game is pretty fun so far, but I am only about 2 hours in or so. None of the bugs yet, but again, only 2 hours. Looks amazing on my 2060 at only 1080p. Not a fan of the driving parts but that is a preference thing. These days I often get sea sick from these kind of games after a time, even if I turn off screen shaking and open up the FOV to 90+. Gonna slow down my ability to understand all the memes on the Internet that are undoubtedly coming if I have to keep taking breaks from playing. I mean hell, Jackie is a walking meme generator all by himself.

I'm enjoying it a lot. Performance is fine, not great (mid/high on 2070 Super at 1440p), getting about 60 FPS. I could probably improve this with the right settings.

It's been very stable for me, 6 hours in and the only bugs I've seen are minor graphic glitches like momentarily weird animation. No broken quests, no reloads required except on death, no game crashes. From my own experience so far, this is launch quality.

Guys what is the gameplay like? Is it a proper RPG? Is it more linear like Fallout4, where you think you have choices but you actually have none? Combat? Exploration? Fun factor?
