Cyberpunk 2077 Launches

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available for Windows, offering the chance to play CD PROJEKT RED's eagerly anticipated sci-fi role-playing game. You can find where to pick this up on the official website and there's more support for the launch on GOG.com. Here's the previously released Launch Trailer and here's a refresher in case you've been sleeping in the Matrix:
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.

I will always defend esdf as better than wasd

When I first started using keys and mouse, I used arrow keys. Lol. Over the years I've progressively moved to the left of the keyboard, and now Im in WASD territory. Something about the proximity and edge of the control, shift, alt, tab keys suits me. I'm not saying it's better, it's just better for me

Same with me, on the arrow keys. It was Duke3D that had me do it. My first setup was left mouse button walked forward, middle walked backwards. Arrow keys were jump, duck, and strafe. I shifted to a more traditional method with the arrow keys doing what people use wasd for, but had to push the keyboard all the way to my left to comfortably use it. I eventually realized that was dumb, and looked for keys on the left side of the keyboard that I could use with my lefthand without moving the keyboard, but were similar to the arrow keys. ESDF seemed to be most aligned to the arrow - the E is more directly over the D than the W over the S. To my eye. On that keyboard. But also:

You'll have equal access to control/shift/alt/tab when using ESDF while having greater access to the middle of the keyboard. ESDF is superior to WASD in every way, that's why you're seeing a greater number of people changing the defaults.

For me, it isn't just the access to the middle, it's having W and Q. Most games need multiple buttons, and for me R is always reload, W is activate or whatever, but I still have Q. It's easier for me to reach out left and hit Q than reach right and hit whatever is there. My hand is already angled diagonally so that my ring finger is basically an easy sweep to both Q and W, but my index finger only really gets to G well.
