If a friend buys it on GOG can my friend and his son in the same house play it on 2 different pc's at the same time since no DRM?
Yes, but they can't both use whatever online component there is going to be (multiplayer eventually) and I believe Galaxy achievements (online) may perhaps get messed up if they both go online. I've definitely seen some weirdness with cloud saves through Galaxy on games where I had more than 1 person playing the same game. Just agree to have only 1 person use cloud saves, or everybody just uses local(offline) saves.
Otherwise you can have an infinite number of friends and sons playing offline. Disable Cloud Saves, local saves only.

I mentioned this earlier, as well. To me, the fact GOG has it at the same price as Steam means they really don't give a shit where you buy their game -- they just laugh all the way to the bank because of the people who do buy it at their place due to this deluded meaning everyone is attaching to online stores/platforms.![]()
It's weird that so few people seem to remember that Valve has included in their contracts that you can't sell a game for less on another platform than you sell it on Steam. Barring sales, of course, this is talking about the default price. So even if they wanted to sell it for less on GOG, they can't - unless they want to forgo selling it on Steam at all.

I buy my games on Steam because it is incredibly easy to play Windows games on Linux.
This is true for me as well. CDPR gives less than zero fucks about any platform not Windows. Moreover, Steam has the Workshop where it is easy to source mods from whereas GOG does not. I expect a ton of CP2077 mods in the future.

Also, why isn't the game a bit cheaper on GOG? Wouldn't that be a *true* incentive to get most folks to use it there?

If CD Projekt only offered it on GOG, I'd buy it there. But they didn't. Oh well.

I don't understand how the hell anyone could buy the Steam version over the GOG version. Like, what's the point? I bet if it's #1 on Steam, it has to have sold WAY more on GOG.
