Iron Harvest 1920+ Demo, DLC, and Tourney Plans

KING Art Games announces plans to follow-up on the recent launch of Iron Harvest 1920+, their alternate history RTS game. First off they note that the game is now also available on the Epic Games Store. They go on to announce an upcoming story DLC called Rusviet Revolution and a new game mode called Drop Zone. They also say a new free demo for the game is on the way. We can expect that starting on November 25th, but you'll have to hurry, as this will only be playable for a week. Finally there will be an ESL fall tournament that will get underway next week and you can even participate by playing the demo. Here are details on all that news:
November content:
Is it a plane? Is it a bird? It is a … crate? New game mode "Drop Zone" is coming to the world of Iron Harvest. In Drop Zone players collect stockpiles that are airdropped across the map. The first player to collect enough Victory Points wins. Multiple stockpiles can drop simultaneously and take time to collect. Protecting dropped stockpiles while securing future drop zones is the key to victory.

Drop Zone will be available on all existing skirmish maps and can be played in Skirmish, Ranked, Quick Match, and custom matches.

The team is in close touch with the community and are constantly working on weekly updates to keep the battlefield exciting. For more information on the upcoming content calendar you can check out the November content roadmap:

Rusviet Revolution story DLC:
Over 100 years ago the real Russian revolution came to a halt when the red forces won the final battles at the Krim. Though the alternate history of 1920+ never has seen this kind of revolution until now, December 17 marks the day the Rusviet people will rise against the Tsar. Rusviet Revolution sees the player experience new story content over the course of four new single player maps - shedding some light on the mysterious Rasputin. These maps will be free for all Kickstarter backers and Iron Harvest Digital Deluxe owners on December 17. Rusviet Revolution will be also be available for purchase separately for $3.99 through Steam, GOG or Epic Games Store. To celebrate the Rusviet Revolution the team created new artwork to celebrate:

Free public demo:
From November 25 to December 1, all interested players can join the battlefield via a free public demo on Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store. Join Anna Kos and her trustworthy bear Wojtek on their journey across Europe in the war that follows World War I in this alternate history of 1920+.

Demo features:

  • All interested players will be able to take a sneak peek at the thrilling campaign missions
  • Skirmish and Challenge Maps: Players can take on the AI alone or in co-op with a friend
  • Competitive multiplayer - players can challenge each other to thrilling toe-to-toe battles on either 1v1, 2v2 or even one 3v3 map

Timed demo? What is this, 1990? Still, I'm tempted to try it out. I've had an RTS hankering lately.
